Today I purchased a Technicolor Mark Ten Super 8 camera and a matching Technicolor 580 movie projector at a flea market in Los Angeles.

My question is - The Kodak Ektachrome 160 cartridge does not seem to fit into the back of this projector...Once the film is processed, will it be returned in a different cartridge in order to fit into this projector?

the film will come back on a reel. if your projector is of some weird cartridge loading kind, you're probably toasted.

Thanks for your quick reply. What then, does the cartridge projector use, as it is clearly labeled Super 8 on it.

Does you projector have a supply reel, and a separate take-up reel.

It sounds like a cartridge projector..where you load the processed 50' reel into a cartridge and then place the cartridge into the projector..KODAK had a model like this called MOVIEDECK..and if I remember right kodak made them under the Technicolor name

Great - thanks again for your help. I did some more research and it appears that the technicolor models used to return the super 8 film on a cartridge to be played on the machine. Noah
